Nikaela Kalogirou is a registered Clinical Psychologist (Registration Number 439) accredited by the Cyprus Psychologists Registration Council and the British Psychological Society. She obtained a diploma in Liberal Arts, a BA in Psychology obtained from the University of Derby, and an MSc in Clinical Psychology obtained from the University of Nicosia. She has completed her practice in both the UK and Cyprus.
Nikaela previously worked with trafficking and unaccompanied children, children in boarding schools, individuals with developmental disabilities (both group and individual therapy), provided play-therapy for inpatient children, worked at rehabilitation homes for individuals with mental difficulties and psychosis (both group and individual therapy) and held campaigns educating and protecting children on sexual abuse, providing a thorough education on children’s rights.
Furthermore, Nikaela concentrates on diagnosis and treatments of individuals on a variety of issues, such as, depression, anxieties and phobias, mental and physical illnesses, personality disorders, relationship dysfunctions, self-worth, stress and anger management, traumatic events, death and bereavement, and violence and aggression. Additionally, Nikaela performs psychometric assessments using the tools: Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-IV) BDI (Beck Depression Inventory), BAI (Beck Anxiety Inventory).
