Mrs. Evangelia Demetriou holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of the West of England, UK and an MSc in Counseling children and young people from the University of Nottingham, UK. Additionally she holds a Diploma in life coaching and is a Certified Neurolinguistic programming coach and practitioner by the American board of Neurolinguistic programmers, USA. Mrs Demetriou is also a Systemic Psychotherapist and accredited by the European association of Psychotherapists (EAP & ECP), European association of family therapy (EFTA).
Furthermore, Mrs Demetriou is a published researcher with the University of Nottingham, UK, and her research is focused on Post-traumatic stress. Mrs Demetriou has represented Cyprus internationally and she was trained to deliver workshops targeting the peaceful resolution of conflict amongst young people.
Mrs Demetriou has worked in the UK as a counselor in primary and secondary education; as well as organizations such as Place2be and Action for children; organizations whose purpose is the emotional and mental support of abused children with behavioral, developmental and social difficulties.
Upon her return to Cyprus, Mrs Demetriou,co-founded the BeChild Workshops program, a program focusing Lifeskills and Psychoeducation / Emotions management which is currently being taught in nursery schools in cyprus.
Furthermore she has been maintaining her own private practise for the last 10 years offering psychotherapy, counseling, life coaching and neuro-linguistic programming services to help children, teenagers and adults facing challenges in their lives.
